Hello, my name is Nela Beceru and I am a CELTA qualified English teacher. I have over twenty years of experience as a freelance, one-to-one teacher. I have successfully coached persons of different ages and professional backgrounds. So far, I have provided online English courses to individuals from Romania, the UK, Emirates, Switzerland, Israel, Jordan, Greece, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. In addition to university education (Master in Applied Linguistics – Teaching EFL, Faculty of Letters, ‘Alexandru Ioan Cuza’ University of Iasi), my qualifications include Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE). In 2020, I obtained the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) from the University of Cambridge.
I offer tuition as one-to-one ONLINE sessions, focusing on one student at a time, or in small group, 2-3 persons, if wished. A session may last between one hour (for young students) and two hours. My approach to tutoring is student-centred and I always tailor my lessons with student’s needs in mind. I can assist students in specific aspects of English: grammar, reading, writing, vocabulary, speaking and listening. With permanent update to teaching resources and methods, I provide most-effective and results-driven preparation for English exams, such as IELTS, Cambridge exams (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE), OET. I possess plenty of relevant study material as well as take home material.
